Surfing on standing waves is certainly different from surfing on the sea.

But that‘s exactly where I see the potential. The Swiss surf scene is neither visually nor surfing-wise exhausted and has its own aesthetic. In my book «nowaves», I have tried to capture interesting visual moments that I have encountered in the course of my work with my camera. The book is an inventory of the Swiss surf scene. It was important to me to photograph as authentically and naturally as possible - documenting the adventurous and individual beauty of the different places, the sport and the people who practise it. I was interested in both natural and artificial waves. The contrast between urban city wave and natural river wave creates a visual tension

and makes the book a suitable coffee-table book for every Swiss surf and photography lover.
